Our situation is a little unconventional too (with Aaron playing ball out of town all summer) and it’s hard for me to juggle so many things at times (like the various steps of the purchase process). Given that you are so flexible I never felt stressed about any phases of the process (initial offer, additional signings, inspection, etc). Also, your knowledge about every step of the process is helpful. I always appreciated the fact that when I said “so what happens next?” you were able to let me know what steps would follow and the typical timeline for each. Finally, I am truly thankful that you are so dependable given the fact that a few of the other parties involved were not. I realize escrow companies and banks are struggling with staffing resulting from the condition of the market; still you manage to maintain a level of customer service, communication, and dependability which was SO instrumental in making us feel positive and secure about our decision to purchase our U.P. condo! This letter is to inform any prospective client of Chad Hauer of his performance on selling our home located at 8021 Jade Dr SW, Lakewood, WA. Our home had previously been listed with another “respected” Real Estate company in the area for over 1 year. They managed to hold the listing without really working it or seemingly caring whether it sold or not. Chad had listed and sold the house next door very quickly so we called him when our listing was expiring. We were very adamant that he communicate with us as the other agency did not return our calls. Chad did an excellent job keeping us informed in all aspects of the transaction. In March of 2005 I began looking for a house. As a first time homebuyer I had question after question as to the entire process. More importantly, I had questions I did not know to ask. I was fortunate enough to find Al Hauer Real Estate and was extremely pleased with the help and guidance through a very intimidating first time experience.
Chad Hauer was the third real estate agent I talked to and soon became the only one I was dealing with. I met with Chad at lunch one day to set up my preferences to guide my search. I soon was receiving emails and phone calls about every house that came on the market that was close to what I was looking for. One of the most positive parts of this experience was Chad’s willingness to work around my schedule, which was already quite tight as far as availability during the typical workday.
In late June I found a house I wanted to take a look at. I called Chad and viewed it and a few others that same day after work. I had a feeling as soon as I saw it that I would most likely be living there in the near future. That became the very near future. I ended up making an offer on the house the next day and I had moved in within two and a half weeks. I certainly did not expect the process to go that quickly and I still believe my case to be a slight anomaly. It really helped having every aspect of the process explained to me so that I could have everything on my end squared away. As for the other end, I found that Chad and Al Hauer Real Estate have established relationships with very good people, from the financial side, to the inspectors, and everyone else I had to deal with throughout the process.
I can’t stress enough how positive an experience I had. As a 23 year old trying to make the largest financial decision of my life so far, not knowing where to even start, I was very impressed and appreciative of the help I received. I found myself amidst a seller’s market with a very specific idea of what and where I was looking for. Obviously, this did not beneficially aid my search efforts. However, not only did I find the house that matched and exceeded my expectations, but with the help of Michael Hodo, my loan officer (one of Chad’s connections), I was able to get a good rate and an affordable mortgage. I am now more or less moved into my new house in North Tacoma and very excited about living there for a very long time.
